Lots of people have a “bucket list”. Usually the list includes places that you want to see, travel and adventure. Many times, a person gets to mid-life and says to themselves “well, I have worked for thirty years or so, I guess I should enjoy myself and go see and do some things”. Dan Duffy is unique…he has had an amazing career and traveled the world. Now, #1 on his bucket list is to own his own successful accounting business to serve local entrepreneurs close to home. Lucky you!
Dan was born in Lubbock, TX and raised in East Texas. He went to Texas A&M University where he earned his degree in Business Administration-Accounting. He graduated from Bechtel’s Executive Management Program San Francisco, CA just a few years later. Spin the globe. Dan administered payroll to employees working in Singapore, Kazakhstan, Algeria and the United Kingdom. He became a project manager and “top gun” consultant in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) industry. He was a sales manager in the software and services industry and founder/president of BlueSky Integration in the systems integration industry. Impressive.
As Dan grew his career, he lived/worked in cities such as Houston, TX, San Francisco, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Las Vegas, NV, Chicago, IL, West Palm Beach, FL, Raleigh/Durham, NC, Bismarck, ND, Los Alamos, NM, Boston, MA, Atlanta, GA, Amarillo, TX, Anchorage, AK, Calgary, and Toronto, Canada, and Beijing and Shanghai, China. In fact, he has been to every one of the “50 nifty United States” except South Dakota and Maine. He has worked all across Europe. He truly was a globe trotter and career gypsy. In 2000, Dan married and decided to travel less. He and his wife lived near Lake Michigan and in Columbus, OH for several years before deciding to move back home to Texas to raise their family, twin sons and a third son on Eagle Mountain Lake.
Over the years and across the miles, Dan has acquired a generous portfolio of skills. From asset management to controls and compliance to analytics. He has performed accounting tasks from the highest corporate level down to the grass roots perspective of the independent business owner. Dan appreciates hard working entrepreneurs universally. Owning his own accounting business is the culmination of many years out exploring the world discovering that home in Texas is where he wants to be. Succentrix Business Advisors North Fort Worth is Dan’s grand finale.
Look for Dan and his family enjoying outdoor activities together. Dan loves sports, spending time with his boys and networking. His wife, Shannon is a cheerleading coach at Lake Country Christian School. Enjoy getting to know him as your accountant and as your neighbor. He can help you with your bucket list as well. In the near future, Dan and Shannon hope to travel some in Italy and Greece, but they will always come back to Texas where their roots are…. and the welcome mat boldly states HOME.
